New CFO for Ashtead

Ashtead – owner of Sunbelt Rentals in the USA and A-Plant in the UK, has announced that finance director Suzanne Wood will step down from the role at the end of the month. She has been in the job since July 2012, but now wishes to spend more time back in the USA.

She will be succeeded by Michael Pratt as part of the group’s long term succession planning. He has been deputy group finance director and treasurer since 2012 having joined Ashtead in 2003 from PricewaterhouseCoopers. Wood will remain on board assisting with the transition until late June.

Chief executive Geoff Drabble said: “Suzanne has worked tirelessly on the group's behalf over the last 14 years first as CFO of Sunbelt Rentals and more recently as group finance director and the financial strength of Ashtead and its sound debt structure are tributes to those efforts. On behalf of the board I would like to thank Suzanne for all her hard work.”
