Haulotte adds South American role
Haulotte has added the new role of key account coordinator for all of South and central America to Laurent Demaretz’s responsibilities. He is currently general manager, Central America and the Caribbean.
Carlos Hernandez - managing director the Americas – said: “Laurent’s 11 years of experience with Haulotte makes him the perfect fit for this new position. As the Latin American market matures, it is important that we support our key accounts and make sure they are linked to all the services Haulotte has to offer our business partners. Laurent understands the industry and he understands the business culture, but more importantly, he understands how to help our customers meet their business goals with support from Haulotte.”
Demaretz, 43, joined Haulotte from ABB in 2007 as general manager of its new subsidiary Haulotte Mexico, he speaks French, Spanish and English.

Laurent Demaretz
He started his career in 1997 as a marketing trainee, with Swedish hydraulic filtration systems company Hydac in Mexico City, moving to the Total Motor Management division of ABB in Mexico City in 1998. In 2000 he was promoted to business unit manager of the division and then two years later transferred to the ABB Robotics division as a service sales executive, a job he held until joining Haulotte in 2007.
