New MD for Mateco
Germany's largest powered access and telehandler rental company Mateco, has appointed Wolfgang Neumann as managing director.
Neumann was previously with the Hartmann group a leading supplier of medical and care products, based in Ulm. He joined the company in 1999 as vice president of materials manager and for the past 11 years has been executive director of strategy, business divisions, Mergers & Acquisitions and internationalisation.
He began his career in 1991 as a PHD student with the logistics department of Robert Bosch, moving to Proctor & Gamble in 1994, becoming group manager financial analysis before leaving to join Hartmann.

Mateco chief executive Armin Rappen, who has most recently been managing the integration of Gardemann into the company, said: “We are very pleased that we could win Dr. Neumann as new managing director. I am convinced that he will successfully develop our business with his expertise in management.”
Mateco has been owned by Belgian parts, service and rental group TVH since 2012, and last June if acquired it Germany's Gardemann from Loxam, shortly after the French company acquired Gardemann's parent company Lavendon.
