New Access Alliance chairman

The Access Alliance - the UK association of independent regional rental companies - has appointed Steve Simmons as chairman.

Simmons is joint managing director of Star Platforms, and has over 20 years’ experience in the powered access industry. He was previously operations director with Panther Platform Rentals and held a number of senior roles with Lavendon after it acquired Panther.

Simmons said: “I’m looking forward to my role as Alliance chairman, alongside the new vice chairman Michelle Warren of Warren Access. Our recent trip to Italy with Genie was a fantastic opportunity for members to bond and get to know each other a little better in a relaxed environment.”
