Genie booms for Nolo

Italian rental company Nolo Servizi 2000 has taken delivery of a 135ft Genie SX-135 XC telescopic boom lift and an 80ft Z-80/60 articulated boom lift.

The SX-135 XC offers a working height of 43.15 metres and a maximum capacity of 454kg at around 24 metres of outreach, whilst unrestricted capacity is 300kg at an outreach of 27.4 metres. It also comes with Genie’s Jib Extend feature to add an extra three metres and 125 degrees of jib articulation.

The Z-80/60 provides an outreach of 18.29 metres, an up and over height of 8.83 metres and a platform capacity of 227kg. The new booms were ordered through Genie’s Italian distributor CTE, in order to work on the construction of ceramic tile manufacturer Edilceramica’s new production facility.

CTE sales manager for north and central Italy Giuseppe Maniero said: “Over recent years, work at height has become increasingly challenging in terms of the tasks and materials involved, as well as the deadlines. Today, productivity is the name of the game and to leverage business opportunities rental companies need to be able offer the right equipment. With its lift capacity of 300kg to 454kg, which is 32 percent more than the industry standard, and marketing leading 27.43 metre outreach, for Nolo Servizi the Genie SX-135 XC boom lift was definitely a wise choice for this particular industrial construction job. It will also serve them well for a wide range of other applications where increased productivity really counts.”

Nolo Servizi 2000 sales manager and co-owner Simone Schianchi added: “The performance of the Genie SX-135 XC boom lifts was outstanding. This model’s horizontal outreach is really exceptional even at maximum load. As a result, we saved our customer the cost of a crane which also made the operators’ job easier.”

Established in 1999, Nolo Servizi 2000 is headquartered in Fiorano Modenese, northern Italy. The company’s aerial lift fleet ranges from six to 45 metres, and also offers telehandlers and forklifts for rental.
