New country manager for Riwal Benelux

Riwal has appointed Olaf Sterkenburg as country manager Benelux, with responsibility for Riwal Belgium and Riwal's home operation in the Netherlands.

He joins the company from Caterpillar dealer Pon Equipment, where he was managing director of both the Danish and Swedish operations. He has been with the Pon group since 2003, starting out as a business development manager in the Netherlands, becoming commercial director for Pon Equipment Netherlands later that same year. He was promoted to managing director of Pon Equipment Denmark in 2008, running both the distribution and rental operations. Moving into his most recent role in 2010.

He began his career in 1997 with consulting firm Nolan Norton & Company in Utrecht, the Netherlands, where he was a manager, leaving to join Pon six years later.
