Cramo will be the name

At a board meeting last week, the directors of Finnish based Rakentajain Konevoukraamo Oy or RK as it is better known, decided to change its name to Cramo Oy.

RK and Cramo merged at the start of this year and still trade under a variety of names, including RK, SPV, Maropol and Cramo, to name just a few.

The group operates in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, the Czech Republic and Russia.

The board confirmed the operating management’s recommendation for the group to now move towards a common name and brand in all of its markets and that Cramo should be the name.

Before the legal name change-over can go ahead, it must be approved by two thirds of its shareholders. An EGM is planned for November 20th.

As part of the change the company will introduce a new corporate identity and logo. The implementation of a new identity is expected to start in the second quarter of 2007.
