New director for Ashtead
Ashtead, owner of Sunbelt Rentals in North America and A-Plant in the UK has appointed Lindsley Ruth as a non executive director. He has also been appointed as a member of the audit, remuneration and nomination committees.
Ruth has been chief executive of Electrocomponents since April 2015. Prior to that he was executive vice president of the Future Electronics Group and has held senior positions with TTI and Solectron Corporation.

At the same time Brendan Horgan officially succeeds Geoff Drabble as chief executive today. Drabble has stepped down from the board and will retire from the group at the end of November.
