Luijerink joins Palfinger

Austrian based loader crane manufacturer Palfinger has appointed Hemmo Luijerink as head of sales and outbound product management for the company’s new articulating crawler crane product line.

Luijerink has more than 30 years experience in the crane business, having started his career with gun maker Vereenigde Geweermakers in 1986, but within two years moved to the construction equipment market, joining Hitachi in 1991 as a sales administrator moving up through numerous roles to become the Hitachi Sumitomo crawler crane manager. In 2005 he joined Dutch crawler crane sales company Crane Business, leaving in 2011 he moved to China to join Chinese crawler crane company Fuwa, where headed its export marketing efforts and was instrumental in the development of a brand new crane range, including a line of telescopic crawler cranes. He remained in China until this year, working with other companies as well as Fuwa including Dutch forestry equipment and metals group Hencon

Luijerink takes over from Michael Hagenauer who is leaving after 27 years with the company to “start a new professional challenge”.
