3B6 Joins COBO group

3B6 has been acquired by the Cobo group an Italian off-highway electronics and drive component producer.

The group has revenues of around $340 million and a workforce of around 1,000 employees.
COBO was established in 1949 by two electricians to produce electrical components for the auto, agricultral and then industrial vehicle manufacturing industry.

The Cobo group now includes several companies each one specialising in developing and producing specific products for the off Highway vehicle market. They are mainly located in Italy but there are assembly plants also in North America, China and Australia.

Products include electrical and electronic components, seats, steering wheels and completely assembled column kits for manufacturers of industrial vehicles, agricultural machines, earth moving equipment and lift trucks, as well as custom-built cars and motorcycles.

The 3B6 management team will remain on board, including: chief executive Alessandro Bertola, chief financial officer Susanna Cantone, and Marco Nicolini, export sales manager.
