Truck mount overturn

A truck mounted lift/bucket truck overturned in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, on Friday trapping the man who had been operating it between the fibreglass platform and the ground.

The man was working for electrical contractor Commercial Industries - which owned the Altec bucket truck - and was rescued by the emergency services after they managed to lift the bucket off the ground to free him.

The unit appears to have been operating without any stabilisers set

He was rushed to hospital with serious and potentially life threatening injuries. The Occupational Health and Safety department has started an investigation.
