Man hurt as crane hits scaffold

A man was hurt earlier today when a crane fell onto scaffolding.

Scaffold collapse in Stranmillis Road

The man was believed to be a construction worker on a building site in Stranmillis Road, south Belfast.

The ambulance service at the scene said the man suffered neck and back injuries after being trapped when a crane fell onto the scaffolding. The man has been taken to hospital in the city. #

It is not yet known what type of crane was involved or the exact details of the incident.
