Two Brontos for Smart

UK vehicle mounted rental specialist Smart Platform Rental has added a 35 metre Bronto Skylift S35EM and a 38 metre Bronto Skylift S38XDT truck mounted platforms to its fleet.

The S35EM features a five section main boom topped by a four section articulated jib to offer a maximum outreach of 29 metres. The S38XDT offers a maximum platform capacity of 700kg and an outreach of up to 21 metres.

Both units are mounted on a two axle 18 tonne Euro VI compliant Volvo chassis and feature secondary guarding, variable outrigger set up, a lifting frame and winch as well as hydraulic and electrical power to the platform. The company said the S35EM was chosen due to its efficient set up time as well as its ability to set the machine up in confined areas, such as under structures.

Established in 2002, Smart Platforms runs a fleet of mostly 3.5 tonne self-drive truck and van mounted platforms from locations in London, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester and Sheffield.
