Powered Access MD for Speedy

Speedy has promoted Andrew ‘Andy’ Briggs to managing director of its powered access business he also joins the company’s operating board.

He joined the company in July as operations director for the powered access business, after almost 18 years with Nationwide Platforms, where he beginning his access career in 2001 as a depot manager in Coventry and moving up through the ranks to regional general manager for the Midlands, to regional operations manager for the North, becoming a regional director in 2010 and finally UK performance improvement director. He began his career in 1997 as a technical services manager with cable and communications company NTL, leaving to join Nationwide in 2001.

In his new role his responsibilities will include all of the group's access operations, which incorporate the acquired businesses of Prolift, Platform Sales and Lifterz. The Speedy aerial lift fleet now includes around 8,500 units.
