Chinese aerial lift manufacturer Sinoboom has appointed Kolin Kirschenmann as chief executive of Sinoboom North America.
He joins the company from Caterpillar where he has been general manager Forest Products for the past two and a half years, based in Georgia. Prior to that he was a product manager for the division.
Kirschenmann has spent his entire career with Caterpillar having joined the company in 1990 as a design engineer in Decatur, Illinois, moving to headquarters in Peoria 10 years later to become a service operations consultant for North America, adding the role of North American warranty manager three years later. In 2005 he moved into marketing as marketing manager for industrial products, moving to the UK two years later as new product introduction manager for the company’s articulated dump truck business, becoming technical manager for the division two years later. In 2013 he moved to Georgia, USA to join the Forest Products division as product manager.
Sinoboom general manager Susan Xu said: “I am delighted to welcome Kolin to our talented team, his arrival is a statement of intent for Sinoboom as we continue to accelerate our growth in 2020 and look to build our presence in North America. Kolin brings terrific experience in leading initiatives and driving commercial success in the construction equipment sector. I truly believe he will help to drive our expansion strategy forward.”
