Tree takes out RT

The overturning of a Rough Terrain crane while lifting a tree section was dramatically captured on video in Indonesia last week.

The Kato crane was working alongside the road in Turen, south of Malang in Eastern Java, last Tuesday and had lifted a large section of tree trunk that had been cut free. As the operator slewed away from the truck however the load proved to be too heavy for the crane at the boom length and radius it was using, and over it went.

Fortunately no one was injured, and the crane operator was helped out of the cab by co-workers, he was clearly shaken, but seemed to think it was a bit of a joke.
The Turen police confirmed that no one was injured or hurt in the incident, although they pointed out that it had brought traffic flow to a standstill.''
