More Böckers for DSM

UK rental company DSM Contract Lifting has taken delivery of a new six tonne Böcker AK 46/6000 aluminium truck crane.

The AK 46/6000 features a 33 metre main boom, plus an 11 metre two section telescopic offsettable jib and two metre extension. It can handle its maximum capacity at a radius of eight metres or take one tonne to 26 metres and 250kg to 39 metres.

Features include wireless remote controls with colour screen, automatic levelling, and fully variable outrigger set up and monitoring and is mounted on a 26 tonne chassis with rear axle steering. This is the second Böcker in the DSM fleet, joining an older four tonne AK 44/4000, while the comapny also has a new 12 tonne, four axle AK 52 on order for delivery later this year.

DSM managing director Melvyn Rogers said: “The new AK 46/6000 went straight to work on a very tight job in London, utilising the variable outriggers to place an air conditioning unit at 30 metre radius highlighting the impressive capabilities of this machine. The small slewing radius makes it possible to erect the crane in the smallest of all spaces and with flowing traffic. By using this machine in this location saved the necessity of using a much larger crane and fully closing the store’s car park.”

“Adding the AK 46/6000 and AK 52 strengthens DSMs position within the bespoke contract lifting and machinery movement market. The Bocker products we buy perfectly complement our fleet in order to continue to offer our customers innovative lifting solutions.”
