New CraneWorks president
US rental company CraneWorks has appointed Kenny Bishop as president, reporting to CraneWorks owners, David and Steve Upton, chief executive and chief financial officer respectively.
Bishop joins the company from Volvo heavy equipment dealer, Ascendum Machinery, where he has been chief executive for the past three years. Prior to that he spent more than 28 years with Thompson Tractor, the Caterpillar dealer for Alabama and Northwest Florida. In his time with the company he served as a sales representative, region manager and finally vice president of sales, responsible for the heavy equipment department as well as general manager of the Cat Rental Store. He began his career in Alabama with coal mining company Drummond, leaving for Thompson in 1988.

Based in Birmingham, Alabama, with additional locations in Mobile, Alabama and Nashville, Tennessee, CraneWorks offers a fleet truck, crawler and All Terrain cranes topped by a 400 tonne Liebherr LTM 1400-7.1. Its sister company, RentalWorks, offers a range of general rental equipment including powered access, telehandlers, forklifts, spider cranes and earth moving equipment.
