US based rigging equipment manufacturer Crosby has appointed Jamie Kirkbride as area sales manager of the north of the UK.
In his new role he will be responsible for the sales of all group brands including Crosby, Gunnebo, Straightpoint and the recently acquired Feubo (see: Crosby acquires Feubo). Appointed earlier this year, he has now relocated to Aberdeen, Scotland, where he will be based in order to focus on supporting the company’s local distribution partners in the region and providing support to customers in the region.
Kirkbride joined Crosby in March last year as business development manager – Asia Pacific, based in Singapore. He has spent his entire career so for working in the and around rigging and rigging gear, having started out in 2012 with oil & gas service company Oilfield Solutions where he had a commercial business development role based in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Two years later he moved to a similar - slightly more senior role with Global Lifting Services, Nigeria in Port Harcourt. In 2016 he moved to the Middle East to work with George Taylor Lifting Gear in Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE as export sales & UAE regional manager. A year later he transferred to Rigmarine as business development manager with the company providing wire rope and lifting products to the oil and gas market in the Middle East, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. Two years later he made the move to Singapore with Crosby.
