UK rental company Star Platforms has appointed Nichola Howard as marketing manager, to oversee all marketing activities.
Howard joins from Nationwide Platforms – Loxam’s UK operation – where she has worked since 2014, initially as marketing executive, then promoted to senior marketing executive in 2017 and marketing manager in 2019.
She began her marketing career in 1998 at Styropack as a sales and marketing assistant, taking on increasingly senior marketing roles before moving to medical lighting company Daray in 2007 as marketing manager leaving for Nationwide Platforms at the end of 2013.
Richard Miller, joint managing director of Star Platforms, said: “We are delighted to welcome Nichola to the team at an exciting time for the company. With her industry knowledge, Nichola is the right person to head up our marketing activities and I look forward to working with her on new projects as our company evolves.”
Howard, added: “I am thrilled to remain in the powered access industry and very much looking forward to working with the team at Star Platforms and in particular using my experience to further develop the Star Platforms brand.”
Founded in 2011, Star Platform operates a fleet of just under 1,900 platforms from its depots in Luton, Kent, Leicestershire, Reading and Suffolk. It was recently acquired by the Indian manufacturer and rental company Sudhir Power.
