Oil & Steel strengthen sales team
Italian truck mounted and spider lift manufacturer Oil & Steel has appointed Roberto Veronesi as export sales manager, with the task of consolidating, supporting and expanding the company’s overseas business.
He joined the company from Finest Food where he has been export manager since 2015, he had previously worked for the business as international business developer. He began his career in 1995 with Bologna based material handling and fork truck manufacturer Cesab Carrelli Elevatori becoming an export area manager. In 1998 he moved to hearing aid company Amplifon as export manager and then in 2005 joined extrusion die manufacturer Phoenix Group as international sales and marketing manager. In 2010 he took up a one year project with fabrication and machining company CMF, followed by his first spell with Finest Food.

Roberto Veronesi
Speaking of his appointment he said: “Being chosen to share my experience and enthusiasm with a large number of professionals, seriously dedicated to innovation, really makes me proud. it’s a great challenge, I know! But our team is greater and together I believe we will overcome every difficulty and will take Oil&Steel to the level it deserves, anywhere in the world.”
In another move, the company has also extended the territory of Fulvio Frunzio, its sales director for Italy, adding neighbouring countries to his portfolio, including Slovenia and Croatia.
He has been with Oil & Steel since 2009, having joined the business from Italian kitchen manufacture Angelo Po Grandi Cucine. However he started out in 1987 with southern Italian steel maker Ilva where he was a technician. In 1998 he moved to forklift manufacturer Lugli Carrelli Elevatori as an area manager leaving in 2005 for Angelo Po.

Fulvio Frunzio
Frunzio, who also sits on the IPAF Italian Country Council said: "I am grateful to the company for this appointment. It is a stimulating role, and I accepted this new challenge with great enthusiasm. My experience with Slovenian and Croatian markets started in the pre-Covid era, when it was possible to visit and meet existing and potential customers with whom I have established positive relationships that have led to excellent results. I want to pass on my Italian experience, based on relationships, to these two countries too, because I believe relationships are very important and are the basis for success in working relationships."
General manager Fabrizio Girotti added: “I am pleased to announce these new appointments that will contribute to the development of new markets and will give a further boost to Oil&Steel relaunch project. The skills acquired from his previous work experience will allow Roberto to positively contribute to the expansion of Oil&Steel presence in international markets and to provide fast and effective response to our customers’ needs. A special wish to Fulvio for this new challenge that he will face with the same dynamism, sense of belonging and determination that have always distinguished him and that have allowed him to achieve excellent results. This is yet another step forward in Oil&Steel continuous development as a global and international company, and I am sure Roberto and Fulvio will make a significant contribution to our future business development."
