250 scissors for Kranpunkten

Swedish rental company Kranpunkten has ordered a further 250 electric scissor lifts, adding to the 200 electric and hybrid boom and scissor lifts it ordered in February – see: Green lifts for Kranpunkten.

The order includes a range of JLG and Genie scissor lifts with working heights of 4.9 to 7.79 metres as well as a number of 10ft Bravi Leonardo HD mast type self-propelled aerial work platforms. Scheduled for delivery over the next four months, the company says the additional scissor lifts have been ordered as a result of increased demand from large projects. This latest delivery will take the company’s fleet to more than 4,000 units - 83 percent of which are electric or hybrid powered as it looks to become offer a completely carbon neutral operation.

Increased demand in Sweden has prompted Kranpunkten to order a further 200 scissor lifts

Kranpunkten purchasing manager, Rikard Jönsson, said: “In the projects, we now see a growing need for smaller units for interior jobs and therefore we expand our fleet of electric scissor lifts further. These machines are quiet and without emissions, which is what is in demand when the projects have reached the indoor phase.”

Based in Förslöv, southern Sweden, Kranpunkten also operates from depots in Uppsala, Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö.
