German rental company Gargarin Arbeitsbühnen has taken delivery of the first 60 tonne Grove GMK3060L-1 All Terrain crane in the country to feature the manufacturer's all new carrier cab.
Joining a 55 tonne GMK3055 and 100 tonne GMK4100L-1, the three axle GMK3060L-1 features a 48 metre seven section main boom, an 8.7 to 15 metre bi-fold swingaway and the manufacturer's 270 degree BirdView camera system.
It also features Grove's newly redesigned cab which offers improve comfort and ergonomics while using the available internal space more efficiently. It was originally introduced for Grove’s three axle models late 2020, before being made available for its four and five axle models last month - see: Cab upgrade for 4/5 axle Grove ATs.
Owner Alex Gagarin, said: “The new carrier cab makes the 60 tonner look like a big crane and when you sit inside you get a real feeling of space. I noticed straight away that the cab is extremely quiet compared to other cranes. So my crane operators will definitely arrive at the jobsite relaxed.”
Gagarin crane operator Stefan Hufgart, added: “The controls inside the new Grove carrier cab are clearly arranged and easy to reach. In our job, we spend a lot of time in the carrier cab - especially in a crane such as our new 60 tonner, which we will use as a taxi crane for working on multiple jobsites a day and driving from one task to the next. With the new GMK3060L-1, I can get to the next jobsite in comfort.”
Established in 2015, Gagarin offers a fleet of mobile cranes, access platforms, forklifts and excavators from its locations in Waldaschaff and Hammersbach. The company is also a member of the German association of independent regional rental companies, System Lift.
