Cab upgrade for 4/5 axle Grove ATs
Grove has upgraded the carrier cab for a number of its four and five axle All Terrain cranes with capacities up to 150 tonnes. The move follows the introduction of its new Cab2020 on its three axle models last year - see:
Cab2020 for Groves.
Available on its 90 tonne GMK4090-1, 100 tonne GMK4100L-2 and 150 tonne GMK5150-1/GMK5150L-1 models, the new cab offers more space, increased storage, cup holders, USB ports and a more ergonomic driver's seat with air suspension, armrests and heating. Operators can also move easily between the driver and passenger side as the central console no longer divides the cab.

Vice president product management, mobile cranes Andreas Cremer said: “User friendliness and driver ergonomics were our priorities in the development of the new generation of Grove carrier cabs, so an understanding of operators’ day to day work conditions was essential to the process. We introduced the prototype of the new generation of Grove carrier cabs “cab2020” to the market at bauma 2019 as part of a design study. The feedback was already extremely positive at that point, yet we still took the opportunity to speak directly with customers and operators and included their comments in the final development stages of the new carrier cab.”
