Partnerlift appoints Gärtner

Partnerlift, the German association of independent regional rental companies, has appointed Ralf Gärtner as networker manager.

Gärtner joins the association from Toyota Material Handling Germany where he has spent the past four years in charge of its rental division. He began his career in 2008 as an assistant manager at German rental company and Partnerlift member Wemo-Tec. Two year's later he was promoted to divisional manager for its aerial work platform, forklift and crane rental operations. In 2014, he left the industry to become a IT and Microsoft consultant, only to return to Wemo-Tec a year later as an area sales manager.

Ralf Gärtner joins Partnerlift


In his new job he will be responsible for expanding the association’s network of rental locations in Germany, specifically focusing on the addition of forklift rental companies. As well as carrying out site audits of the association’s partners, he will also drive the digitisation of the association’s rental process and eLearning applications.

Partnerlift managing director Kai Schliephake, said: “All of Ralf’s previous activities fit perfectly into the requirement profile of the newly created position. In the forklift rental area we are also looking to onboard new suppliers in order to strengthen our strong position as a purchasing community.”

Partnerlift members run a combined fleet of more than 15,000 access platforms, forklifts, cranes and general construction equipment from 150 rental locations throughout Germany. It also partner companies operating in Switzerland, Austria, Poland and Ireland.
