Saudi Arabia’s Dayim Equipment Rental has ordered 10 of Genie’s 135ft ZX-135/70 articulated boom lifts.
The ZX-135/70 offers a maximum working height of 43.1 metres, with an outreach of 21.3 metres at an up & over height of 23 metres and a platform capacity of 227kg. The first units are due to arrive later this month.
Operations director Imtiyaz Abedi, said: "Our choice of investing in a specific brand and model is the result of a rigorous examination of all the elements that come into play in terms of total cost of ownership and, on that front, the Genie ZX-135/70 outperforms same class boom lifts available on the market.”
Business development director Fatin Aldandan added: “Our focus on strategic partnerships with major end users has helped us understand their operational requirements, which helps us add products to our portfolio that fit customers’ requirements and support their productivity needs.”
Genie’s regional managing director Sharbel Kordahi said: “Dayim Equipment Rental is highly respected for its professionalism and the quality of the equipment it provides. Over the years, we have developed a strong relationship together. This order complements the investment Dayim made in 2020 in the Genie SX-180 Super Booms.” (see: 93 Genies for Hertz-Dayim)
Dayim Equipment Rental was established in 2010 as a joint venture with Hertz, although Dayim's use of the Hertz brand is fading a little, following its exit from equipment rental. Today Dayim claims to operate one of the youngest fleets in the region, with four locations in Saudi Arabia, with a fifth due to open in the northwest to serve the Neom City, Red Sea development and Amaala projects. The company employs around 200 staff, and also has branches in Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait.
