MEC Aerial Work Platforms has appointed Alan Shank as customer service manager of its parts department.
Shank joins from truck sales and service company TEC Equipment where he has been parts manager. He began his career in 1998 with Pape Kenworth where he was product support manager and then truck sales manager. He left Kenworth in 2017 to join The Diesel Doctor as general manager, leaving for TEC in 2019. He will be responsible for MEC’s parts customer service representatives as well as for supporting its sales representatives.
Vice president of parts Brian MacFarland said: “Alan’s 30 plus years’ experience in truck and trailer parts will transfer directly over to the access platform industry. He will add an immediate impact building not only our MEC parts division, but the competitive parts side of our company. His attention to detail and drive to provide excellent customer service makes him an exciting addition to our team.”
