Genie builds RT scissors in Italy

Genie has begun producing it ‘69’ series of compact Rough Terrain scissor lifts at its European plant in Umbertide, Italy.

The scissor lift series covers three base models, the 26ft GS-2669 RT, 33ft GS-3369 RT and 40ft GS-4069 RT, all of which have an overall width of 1.75 metres or 69 inches if you prefer. Each model is available with diesel or DC battery electric power and feature oscillating axles and an indoor outdoor rating. The DC models use AC wheel motor drive and non-marking Rough Terrain tyres.

The GS-3369RT now built in Europe

The GS-2669 provides a maximum working height of 9.7 metres with 680kg platform capacity. The GS-3369 offers an 11.75 metre working height with 454kg, while the GS-4069 delivers 14.12 metres with 363kg.
The production will cover countries in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Indian sub-continent, with the aim to add capacity and reduce shipping times and costs.
