Zoomlion ZT68J for Shanghai Lvgong

Chinese sales and rental company Shanghai Lvgong Machinery Engineering has taken delivery of one of the first 217ft Zoomlion ZT68J boom lifts.

Launched at bauma China last year, the ZT68J is the world’s largest boom lift, topping Snorkel’s 210ft 2100SJ and JLG’s 185ft 1850SJ. It features a five section boom topped by a two section articulating jib for a 67.7 metre working height, and a maximum outreach of 31 metres with a dual 300/455kg platform capacity. Features include a single lift cylinder, 40 percent gradeability and four wheel drive. One of its first jobs was working at a petrochemical facility in Shanghai where it was used to apply rust prevention treatment.

Jason Liu, deputy general manager of Zoomlion Access overseas, said: “Zoomlion is committed to discovering new ways to better suit jobsites from a marketing standpoint, and that’s why we decide to develop ZT68J. There is a growing demand for super-sized boom in China, following the trend of increasing height on buildings like stadiums and airport stations. ZT68J is purpose-built to deliver what our customers’ needs and provide safer and greater access solutions together with better operator experience.”
