Company owner Raul Burger said: “Our fleet is mainly composed of Liebherr cranes and we use them in various projects from mining and industry to renewable energy. Our aim is to provide our customers with the best possible service. That means we require the latest and most innovative technology available on the market.”

Liebherr says demand for mobile cranes for the mining and wind turbine industries has resulted in increased sales in Chile this year. Felix Mussotter, Liebherr sales representative for the region said: “Chile has 40 percent of the established copper reserves in the world with the largest copper mine in the world. It is also increasingly turning to renewable energy. This means that there is a wide range of applications for mobile cranes, for example assembling and servicing large mining machines and erecting wind turbines. Mobile crane sales in Chile are well above average this year.”

Established in 1978, Burger Grúas Y Transportes Especiales runs a fleet of 35 cranes - 30 of them Liebherr - with capacities ranging from 30 and 1,200 tonnes. It also has a heavy haulage and assembly division. Based in Santiago, it employs 140. See the video below of the new LTM 1650-8.1
