TVH acquires Rentalift

Belgian rental company TVH Equipment - part of the Mateco group - has acquired aerial lift sales and rental company Rentalift BV from its current owners Van den Dorpe handling Equipment which is looking to focus more on its other businesses in logistics and port activity.

Rentalift was established in 2001 by the Deschrijvere - De Leersnyder family and is based in Izegem, north of Kortrijk. It is the distributor for Multitel truck mounts and spider lifts, Almac tracked scissor lifts and Jekko spider and pick & carry cranes. It also runs a rental fleet that includes booms, scissors, truck mounts, spider lifts, spider cranes and telehandlers, covering East and West Flanders.

TVH Equipment is headquartered in nearby Waregem with locations in Diksmuide, Sint-Niklaas, Londerzeel, Antwerp, Nivelles and Maaseik.

Simon Van den Dorpe said: “We are convinced that the Rentalift team and its customers will do well as part of TVH Equipment. It is the right partner to guarantee continuity in the quality of service and further growth, the takeover allows them to further specialise as a one stop rental source for clients in industry, construction, events, local authorities and infrastructure works.”

TVH chief executive Kristof Coudenys added: “For Rentalift customers, nothing will change. Their trusted contacts will continue to advise them on a daily basis from Izegem with the high quality service they are accustomed to.”
