Merkle joins the company from Alois Kober, a manufacturer of chassis sub-frames for vans and other vehicles where he was a product manager, having joined the company in 2016. He began his career in 2007 with trailer manufacturer Kögel Fahrzeugwerke, moving to a sales job at loading dock leveller/ramp and scissor lift table manufacturer Meyer Tonndorf three years later covering Southern Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In 2012 he moved back to Kogel Trailer taking up a product management job, leaving for Alois Kober four years later.
Spierings said: “With Bernd Merkle, we were able to win an experienced sales employee for the sales team. In the recent years, the number of Spiering's mobile tower cranes in these countries has grown significantly. We also see opportunities in these markets in the future.
