Another acquisition for Gerken

German access and telehandler rental company Gerken Mietservice has acquired A-Ziebuhr Container.

Based in Plettenberg due east of Düsseldorf, family-owned Ziebhuhr was established in 1961 and now builds, sells and rents all types of temporary accommodation from site office cabins to modular accommodation containers throughout Germany. Gerken has acquired the whole business - including the rental fleet and staff - and joins the Gerken Raumsysteme division.

The latest addition follows the acquisition at end of last year of the aerial lift division of the Allgaier group.

Gerken said: “We are pleased to be able to take over this solid family business and thus continue the tradition of the company. The reliability and quality can be combined excellently with our principles, and we can thus further strengthen the proximity to our customers in the Sauerland and Siegerland regions. By taking over the Ziebuhr company, we want to use the experience of the past 60 years in solution-oriented consulting to support our customers even more in their projects.”
