New Falcon 380XL Vario

Danish manufacturer Falcon Lifts has launched a new 38 metre telescopic spider lift - the 380XL Vario - which also includes a standard platform mounted panel carrier.

The machine has a six section boom, topped by a jib with up to 180 degrees of articulation. Maximum outreach is 16.5 metres with 120kg in the platform at working heights of between 4.2 and 29 metres. The maximum capacity of 450kg is available at an outreach of up to 13 metres. The platform is two metres wide by 800mm deep with 180 degrees of rotation.

The outrigger spread is variable with an overall width to the outer edge of the pads of between 4.8 and seven metres. The spread selected is automatically detected and fed into the Falcon operating system which then establishes the optimal working envelope for the outrigger base selected. The outriggers can also level the machine on a slope with up to 1.2 metres of height variation, and self-load onto a trailer.

The new model has out and down extending tracks, taking the overall width from 1.43 to 1.72 metres, with the overall height increasing from 1.95 metres to 2.23 metres at the same time, which also offers significant ground clearance. The tracks can be extended independently to allow the machine to level up - while on tracks - on side slopes of up to 12 degrees. The 380XL has an overall stowed length of 8.41 metres and weighs 8,250kg.

Power comes from a Stage V Kubota diesel which offers improved fuel efficiency and lower emissions, along with a battery power pack. Non marking tracks are standard.
