German rental company Schünke Bauzentrum Baumaschinen is expanding its rental fleet by a further 105 Magni boom lifts, telehandlers and scissor lifts, taking its Magni fleet to 225 units.
Magni designed the boom lifts for Dingli, and the units are built in the Dingli facilities in China and sold in most markets under the Dingli brand. In Germany however they are sold by Magni Germany under the Magni brand. The new platforms range from 19ft slab scissor lifts to 92ft telescopic boom lifts and include the heavy duty 43ft ES1523RTP and 53ft ES1823RTP all electric four wheel drive Super deck dual extension scissor lifts with working heights of 15 and 18 metres. The telehandlers include the new 4,000kg/18 metre RTH 4.18 and 6,000kg/30 metre RTH 6.30 360 degree models.
The Schünke company is based in Wehr in the Black Forest and was established in 1973 as a tiling company. It entered the general rental market in 1992, adding cranes two years later. It began adding telehandlers in 2010, when it took over the regional Bobcat distribution. In the past five years or so it has made around 10 acquisitions, and now operates from 22 locations. It began buying Magni machines last year.
