New tele-crawler training course
Liebherr Training Services in the UK has launched a new course to help tackle a shortage of trained telescopic crawler crane operators.
The three day course is geared exclusively to telescopic crawler cranes, and in particularly Liebherr LTR models, with hands on training carried out on a 60 tonne LTR 1060 at the company’s Biggleswade, training facility in Bedfordshire.
Liebherr GB training manager Andy Claypole said: “People trained to operate these machines are in short supply as most agency operators tend to be trained exclusively for mobile telescopics or crawlers but not both. In short, this course is for experienced operators who, on successful completion of their training, will be issued with a certificate to prove to employers that they have the special skills necessary to operate LTR cranes.”
