300t Grove for Wagenborg Nedlift

Dutch heavy lift and transport company Wagenborg Nedlift has taken delivery of a 300 tonne Grove GMK6300L-1 All terrain crane.
The six axle crane features a seven section 80 metre main boom on which it can handle 14 tonnes at a 14 metre radius, and 37 metres of luffing extensions, for a maximum tip height of 120 metres. The two engines are both Stage V, while the counterweight slabs are interchangeable with other large Grove cranes.

Fleet and maintenance manager Johan Bakker said: “Our experiences over the past years with the Grove GMK6300L were so positive that we decided to invest in a second Grove of this capacity range. The 300 tonner, the GMK6300L-1, has even better features than previous versions. Thus, the lifting capacity is considerably improved: more than 10 percent on the fully extended 80 metre boom, it is also equipped with handy tools for faster assembly and disassembly”.

“Moreover, this new has very economical and clean Stage V engines. This results in savings on fuel consumption while limiting harmful emissions. The GMK6300L-1 is equipped with a load view camera, side view camera, reversing camera and additional working lights on the sides and back of the crane.
This gives our operators a good view of the lifting operation and the immediate surroundings of the crane at all times, which improves safety. I wish our crane operators Erik Damhuis and Sander Vollenbroek a lot of success and many safe working hours with their new crane.”
