Palfinger duo for Biberger

German rental company Biberger Lift has taken delivery of two new Palfinger truck platforms - a 30 metre P 300 KS on a 7.5 tonne MAN TGL 8.160 chassis plus a 25 metre P 250 BK on a 3.5 tonne Mercedes Sprinter 315 cdi chassis.

The company had ordered the P 250 BK high mount telescopic some time ago as part of its expansion plans, but then as the delivery date approached, an opportunity arose in the form of a P 300 KS that became available at the last minute. The P 300 KS features Palfinger’s/Bison dual slew ring concept which provides a more compact transport length while also extending outreach, which on this unit is 20.5 metres with 100kg, 200kg at 18 metres while maximum platform capacity of 400kg is available at an outreach of around 15 metres. The P 300 can also self-level on slopes of up to five degrees and features home and memory functions.

The P250 BK features a straight telescopic boom topped by a two metre jib with up to 185 degrees of articulation, providing a working height of 24.7 metres and an outreach of 16.9 metres with 100kg in the platform, while the maximum platform capacity of 250kg is available at an outreach of just over 12 metres.

Helmut Schmid of Palfinger Platforms (L) with Herbert Biberger

Managing director Herbert Biberger said: "The cooperation with Mr. Schmid from Palfinger works very well and the service from the nearest Palfinger branch in Kirchheim near Munich is very professional and reliable. Above all, accessibility is very important to me. That works very well, even on the weekends. Palfinger has a good range of aerial work platforms that are available at short notice due to the forward looking purchase of carrier vehicles. That makes it interesting for us, especially in these times. In the coming months of September and October, both devices will already be well utilised.

Biberger Lift is based in Regensburg, Bavaria and runs a fleet of 130 self-propelled platforms, 30 forklifts and 15 truck mounted platforms. It is also a member of Partnerlift, the association of independent rental companies and operates across the Upper Palatinate and Lower Bavarian regions.
