Two more Böckers for ABA

UK rental company ABA Crane Hire has taken delivery of two new six tonne Böcker AK 46/6000 aluminium boomed truck cranes.

The AK 46/6000 features a four section main boom plus three section upper boom/luffing jib, providing a maximum tip height of 44 metres with an optional two metres manual extension available to take it to 46 metres with a capacity of 400kg.

It can handle its maximum capacity at eight metres radius and a height of 18 metres or take one tonne to 26 metres and 250kg to 39.3 metres. Features include fully variable outrigger set-up widths, including asymmetrical, automatic levelling and radio remote controls with colour display screen. The cranes are mounted on a 26 tonne Mercedes chassis with steerable rear axle to add to the unit’s manoeuvrability. The new cranes extend ABA’s Bocker fleet to 12 units.

We continue to be impressed with the versatility of these cranes and they fit our business model perfectly. We look forward to continuing our relationship with Böcker in the years to come.”

Based in Wolverhampton, central England, ABA Crane Hire began trading in 1982 and operates a fleet of All Terrain City type, truck and self-erecting mobile tower cranes along with loader cranes, with capacities up to 220 tonnes.
