Third Good Luck fairy for Bleser

German rental company Bleser Mietstation has taken delivery of its third Glücksfee - which roughly translates as ‘Good Luck Fairy’ - a pink Merlo P 40.17 Roto 360 degree telehandler.

The pink colour denotes the fact that part of the rental revenues go to breast cancer research, a charity that the aerial lift, crane and telehandler rental company has been supporting for several years. This is the third ‘Fairy’ in the fleet. The company donates €5 a day for each unit directly to breast cancer research. Merlo Germany covered the cost of the special paint and also made a €3,500 donation to the charity.

The 4,000kg/17 metre P 40.17 can take 2.5 tonnes to the maximum lift height, power comes from stage V diesel, Bleser ordered the machine with both forks and a 1,000 litre bucket.

The company’s first ‘Fairy’ was a Niftylift HR21 boom lift, which arrived almost three years ago, while last summer it added a Hematec Helix 1205 mast boom, which also generated extra contributions from Iva Thiel of Lectura Verlag as well as Andreas Hänel and Frank Roddert of Hematec totalling €8,500.

Established in 2009, Blesser is based in Neuwied, near Koblenz and offers a full range of aerial work platforms, telehandlers, Jekko spider cranes and Böcker trailer cranes.

Burkhard Bauer of Merlo Germany said: "Beyond the daily headlines, there are many other important construction sites in our society. Cancer is far from conquered and deserves our close attention. We therefore support the Bleser campaign with great conviction. The 40.17 is a rental device that is in demand in Germany, and we hope that the relief campaign will be successful together.”
