Bobcat has added to its next generation of R-Series telehandlers with the compact 2,500kg/six metre TL25.60 telehandler, the smallest model in the Bobcat range of 11 fixed frame models.

Bobcat says that the new model has been designed with a focus on ease of operation, stability, comfort and safety in all types of applications. Maximum lift height is 5.91 metres at which it can handle 1.8 tonnes, while maximum forward reach is 3.31 metres at which it has a capacity of 800kg. The unit features a ‘Bob-Tach’ carriage with a choice of manual or hydraulic attachment, allowing it to use all of the attachments from the Bobcat loader range. Power comes from a 75hp Stage V diesel driving a hydrostatic transmission. The hydraulics use the same flow sharing valve block as other models in the R-Series range, for some of the best cycle times on the market for this size of machine.

The cab features new dashboard design with a new five inch LCD display, slim vertical pillars to maximise the glazed area and reduce blind spots, while a new lower engine cover helps maximise visibility to the right hand side of the machine. It also includes an air suspension seat, the option of a tilt/telescopic steering column and easy entry with a 90 degree door opening and low entry step. The company claims that the turning radius on the new machine is tightest on the market, although we have yet to confirm that.
Bobcat has also strengthened the frame and boom to handle tough applications and environments, with extra protection for hydraulic and electrical tubes, hoses and wiring, while the transmission is protected with a steel belly plate.

Product manager Florian Hilbert said: “On top of this Super Compact format, the cab in the TL25.60 is the same as Bobcat’s top of the range R-Series 18 metre model, so customers can be certain they have the most spacious cab in the compact telehandler market. A complementary version of the TL25.60 aimed at the agricultural market will be launched in 2023.”
Mike Vought, vice president product management added: “Because job sites are becoming ever tighter on space, telehandlers must also become more compact and agile. We have designed the new TL25.60 to not only meet this demand but to be the best compact machine on the market.”
