Platform Hire insolvency
UK rental company Platform Hire has succumbed to a winding up order, first filed in mid September, resulting in the Liquidation paperwork being issued on October 25th.
Rumours about the Droitwich company, which was owned and managed by David and Mandy Williams has been circulating for several weeks. The company was registered in 2006, but Dave Williams has been in the business much longer. We did call and email the Williams last month, but have still not heard back.
We checked the company website, but it is now ‘under construction’. The company has a £835, 000 negative net worth and a £958,000 negative working capital, according to the latest accounts filed last September. We will update this item as and when we learn more or we hear from the Williams.
UPDATE
We have been informed that operations have shifted to Avalon Hire in Droitwich, a company that was set up in 2018. Mandy Williams is the sole director and shareholder.

I appreciate your consensus J.T. I wish things were better in our industries but the economy shows me signs of good health. Time will tell.
