Multitel telescopics for Venpa 3

Italian crane, access and telehandler rental company Venpa 3 has purchased three 27 metre Multitel Pagliero MTE 270EX truck-mounted telescopic platforms on 3.5 tonne trucks.

Based in Dolo, Venice, Venpa 3 was originally an offshoot of Genie distributor and truck mounted lift operator CTE and has until now favoured articulated booms for its 3.5 tonne truck mounted fleet. The change was spurred by the performance, and particularly the 17 metres of outreach that the MTE 270EX offers.

The MTE 270EX has a maximum outreach of 17 metres with 80 kg in the platform, while the maximum platform capacity of 230kg is possible with at a 12.80 metres outreach. The units have 400 degrees slew, while the 1.4 metre by 700mm platform has 180 degrees of platform rotation as standard. The new MUSA (MUltitel Self-Adapting outreach) variable set-up and outreach system, customises the working envelope depended on outrigger spread/set up, and weight in the platform. Prior to the three machines being collected, the operators and technicians from the Venpa 3 branches of Milan, Brescia, Dolo, Bologna and S. Benedetto del Tronto attended a course at the Multitel training centre in Manta.
