New export sales manager for Socage

Italian aerial lift manufacturer Socage has appointed Stefan Weber as export sales manager. He joined the company yesterday following five years in a similar role at Airo.

He began his access career in 1997 with Iteco - now Imer Access - as export sales and product manager. He left the company in late 2002 after almost six years in the role, to join Italian truck mounted lift manufacturer GSR as sales manager in spring 2003.

Over the next 12 years he played a prominent role in building GSR’s export business, but surprisingly in 2015 he left, and after a year or so out of the industry he was appointed as export manager at self-propelled aerial lift manufacturer Airo, where barely 12 months ago he had been appointed general sales manager. Airo suffered more than most with supply chain and other issues over the past 12 months, and it was clear at Bauma last October than all was not well.

The new position with Socage is likely to be far more suited to his strengths and comes at a time when the company is making some bold moves with its spider lift range, while developing interesting new truck mounted lifts.
