New depot for Ainscough

UK rental company Ainscough Crane Hire has opened a new depot in St. Neots, Cambridgeshire, covering a region ranging from Milton Keynes in the west, to Cambridge in the east and Northampton in the north. The St. Neots site, replaces a previous yard at Alconbury Airfield a little further to the north.

The new, fully covered facility will be home to 16 cranes and includes a new workshop capable of working on three cranes at a time and comes complete with inspection pits.

The offices are housed in a two storey modular cabin, which includes a meeting room and a drivers refreshment area, with showers and other amenities. The company said: “The new depot offers several advantages, including better security, with an electronic gate only accessible to key holders. Alongside this, a more up to date workshop being installed guarantees a higher level of service for the cranes themselves.”

The depot managed Lee Smith added : “As a team, we have been excited for some time to get the new depot fully operational. The move has proved a brilliant exercise in reviewing our offering and ensuring our facilities are up to Ainscough’s high standards.”

“We have been able to target the necessary improvements needed to bring this facility up to standard and improve not only our services to clients, but our service to our colleagues. We are especially looking forward to working and engaging with local businesses and the wider community - the improved catchment area is a real plus.”
