Have your say on training

For those of our readers who are resident in, or have businesses in the UK, you have the chance to ‘influence’ the UK government’s policies relating to trade skills and education, including the future of the CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) and Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB).

The review is part of a wider programme across government to ensure that ‘Arm's Length Bodies’ remain effective and fit for purpose.
Anyone can have the say but the Department for Education would particularly welcome contributions from construction related employers relating to the CITB levy, as well as trade bodies and representative groups. The associations involved with our industry in the UK, the CPA, IPAF, PASMA and ALLMI, will be providing their own feedback but members are also encouraged to respond, taking into account their own dealings with the CITB.
The consultation process can be accessed via the following link: https://consult.education.gov.uk/corporate-sponsorship/industry-training-board-review-call-for-evidence/ and will close at midnight on the 25th of August.
