HSS Hire Ireland has taken delivery of 100 19ft Genie GS-1932 E-Drive scissor lifts, the Irish company which is a subsidiary of HSS Hire in the UK, has acquired the new lifts with an eye on Ireland’s pharmaceutical industry and data centres.
The GS-1932 E-Drive features the company’s brushless E-Drive wheel mounted drive motors, which are fully sealed against moisture and water and are totally maintenance free with 70 percent fewer hydraulic hoses and fittings than a traditional hydraulic drive model. Maximum working height is 7.85 metres with a platform capacity of 227kg. Overall width is 820mm and the units weight 1,329kg.
Michael Killeen, managing director of HSS Hire Ireland said: "The GS-1932 E-Drive is the preferred model of machine with our key customers. The size makes them easy to pass through single or double doors, making them very popular on data centre sites. They also come with solid non-marking tyres, which are preferable on sites that require cleanroom standard machines. Our engineering team have years of experience with Genie machines and find their on-board diagnostics simplify their service as well."
