Dutch rental company Jansen Verhuur has acquired the aerial lift rental fleet of tower crane rental company Fontexx Cranes & Access.
Both companies are located in Bergeijk on the Belgian border south of Eindhoven, in fact their yards are barely a five minute drive apart. The deal was complete last week, with all Fontexx platforms now transferred to Jansen.

Fontexx’s main business is tower cranes, including rental, service, repair, respraying and installation/dismantling of flat tops, hammerheads, luffers and self-erectors. The company was set up in 1972 as Kranenbouw Bergeijk to buy, sell, maintain and repair tower cranes of all brands. As the crane trading expanded it took the company into rental. The business changed its name to Fontexx Cranes & Access in 2012, in part to help expand its overseas activities as well as reflect the addiction of platform rental. In 2018 Chinese scissor and mast lift manufacturer Eastman Heavy Machinery appointed Fontexx as its European agent, although this does not seem to have come to that much.
Jansen Verhuur was established in 1990 and offers a wide range of equipment from tools to mini excavators and scaffold, but aerial lifts make up a large portion of its business with a fleet that includes trailer lifts, boom lifts up to 135ft, Scissor lifts from micros to larger RTs and spider lifts to 19 metres.
