Ohio based overhead crane services company Crane 1 Services has appointed Steve Filipov as a non-executive director.
The company statement says his appointment will provide strategic counsel to Crane 1’s board and executive team through his expertise and strategic insight, in order to help the company deliver its strategic objectives. He is also a director of Atlas Crane Service with Ares Management.
Crane 1 is located in Cincinnati and offers a full range of services from service, repair and maintenance to routine and OSHA mandated safety inspections across 17 states. It also runs an online parts and service sourcing platform ‘Hoist Central’.
The company was originally part of Demag/Terex MHPS business, but has been owned by Newport Beach, California based L Squared Capital Partners since 2021, with the long term strategy to use acquisitions to build a truly national service supplier. As part of this strategy, it acquired the assets of Pittsburgh based D&S Hoist & Crane from owners Del and Steve Celasch last February and incorporated it into the business.
