The five axle LTM 1110-5.2 features a seven section 60 metre main boom plus a 10.8 to 19 metre bi fold swingaway which can be offset to 40 degrees. Two extra inserts can be added between the boom nose and extension to provide a maximum tip height of 96 metres. The crane has full remote controls, while other features include the third generation Liccon3 control system, Stage V diesel and Liebherr’s VarioBase outrigger system.
Wasel also has a 100 tonne LTM 1100-5.3 on order, which was unveiled at Bauma last October, was also one of the first companies to order Liebherr's first electric All Terrain, the city type 50 tonne LTC 1050-3.1E.

Managing director Matthias Wasel said: "We already have 12 LTC cranes in use and work with them a lot indoors, where the issue of exhaust fumes and noise is becoming increasingly important. We also plan to use the LTC 1050-3.1E for indoor jobs, especially for set-up and dismantling work at trade fairs."
“As facilities continue to grow in size, we also see a growing need for crawler cranes in the 1,000 tonne class. For this reason, we have added three LR 11000s to our fleet. And our investments will continue in 2024, with 20 new Liebherr cranes already on order.”
Wasel is based in Bergheim, south of Dusseldorf, with 10 other locations in North Rhine-Westphalia and Berlin. It offers a range of services including heavy lift and logistics. It has a fleet of more than 700 machines and trucks with around 400 employees. It is also a local Liebherr dealer.
